In the art courses at DSA we strive to instill a life long appreciation for the Visual and Performing Arts and an appreciation for the differences of others through the exploration of art history and cultures. We also emphasize an understanding that each student can make positive change in the future, through the continued search for knowledge and exploration of all cultures.

The arts play an intergal role in our school culture here at the Durham School of the Arts. Students have many venues for expressing themselves, with two full-time art galleries, a 1600-seat auditorium, two dance studios and a black-box theater.
